Reporting

At our school, pupils and parents receive three reports each year. These reports provide a clear picture of each child’s progress, effort, attendance and overall engagement in school. As pupils move through different year groups, the style and content of reports adapt to reflect their stage of learning.

In Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9), reports focus on attendance, Commitment to Learning and subject progress. Pupils receive percentage scores for each subject, shown alongside the year-group average and ranking, and standardised assessment information at key points. This includes results from a New Group Reading Test (NGRT) and a Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4). Within one report in the year, a personalised written comment from the form tutor is included to highlight strengths, engagement in school life and areas for development.

In Key Stage 4 (Years 10–11), reports build on this by including teacher forecast grades, target grades and mock examination results, giving pupils and families a clear understanding of progress towards GCSE outcomes. Tutor comments at key points offer personalised guidance and celebrate wider achievements such as attendance, organisation, punctuality and contributions to school and extra-curricular life.
